Hezron Chetty

South African, Berlin-based artist with an eclectic mix of genres spanning his albums and theatrical performance, which includes spoken word.

From his early beginnings studying music through the Royal Schools of Music he later pursued a Bachelor of Music at university.

Leaving his hometown of Durban, South Africa, many years ago, he set out to explore different cultures and the role of the violin within them, performing and sharing what he discovered along the way. His accolades include having his music played on major radio and television platforms globally, including the BBC and Netflix, as well as touring and performing everywhere from the smallest, most beautiful stages and city streets to the grandest venues and festivals. These include the Royal Opera House, Green Point Stadium, The Jazz Café, Heimathafen, Ronnie Scott’s, Rudolstadt Festival, Rocking the Daisies, OppiKopp, Festas Da Ascensión and many more. He has supported acts such as Incubus, Vieux Farka Touré, Jocelyn Brown, Paco Sery (Joe Zawinul), Cheick Tidiane Seck, and Marco Mendoza (Thin Lizzy), and has shared lineups with artists including Eagles of Death Metal, Hugh Masekela, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Raekwon (Wu-Tang Clan), Mac Miller, Abdullah Ibrahim, Bullet for My Valentine, Enter Shikari, and more.
